☆The 21st Marine Regiment was activated on July 14, 1942, at Camp Elliot, San Diego, California, but was actually organized at New River, North Carolina. Many of the first members of the regiment came from the 6th Marine Regiment. They were assigned to the 3rd Marine Division, however from January to June 1943 they were an independent regiment. During the war, the regiment took part in the Battle of Bougainville, Battle of Guam and the Battle of Iwo Jima. Following the Japanese surrender, 21st Marines moved to Guam where they were inactivated on December 20, 1945

☆かつて、アメリカ海兵隊の歩兵連隊だった第21海兵連隊は、第二次世界大戦で組織され、ブーゲンビル、グアム、硫黄島の戦い等で戦った。 1945年12月20日に終戦した後、彼らは第3海兵師団の下に入り、解体された。


※1990年代以前のピンバッジになります。これを見つけて買った軍物屋のオヤジが2000年以降は一切仕入れをしてないといっていたので、間違いありません！（笑）それほど古いものではありませんが、生産年・製造国等も不明です。雰囲気抜群です！部隊名等は時間があるときに調べて追記します。
